Yes , we are insane,

A group of certifiable car geeks and our poor wives have been kicking around the idea of going racing on the cheap. We found out about the 24 Hours Of LeMons Series where people prepare and race steaming $500 craptastic cars for hours on end and decided

"Hey, now THAT sounds like fun"

Of course we had to find a suitable crapbox... and by suitable I mean old,ugly , odd and preferably something with trees growing in the engine compartment. Where to find such a beast?

Sitting round the campfire on Thanksgiving weekend ,drinking and thinking out loud I said
"Damn, we need to find an old Pinto or a Gremlin"

My friend David looked up from his beer and said "A Pinto ? I have a really shitty Pinto I think you can have."
"Really ?" says I? David is a great guy but he's generally full of shit so I was naturally skeptical.

So David gets on the phone to see if he could score us the car. While he was talking with his Uncle Tim ,the last one willing to claim ownership of what was at one time a vehicle I said

"It would be totally awesome if it were a Pinto WAGON"
